COUNTRY STAR BLAKE SHELTON TO RELEASE SIX PAK ALBUM ENTITLED HILLBILLY BONE, FEATURING SIX BRAND-NEW SONGS, ON MARCH 16TH 2010

FIRST SINGLE AND TITLE TRACK, A DUET WITH TRACE ADKINS, IS AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE BEGINNING DECEMBER 22ND

Nashville, TN — Constantly asked by fans when he is going to release new music, country star Blake Shelton is giving the people what they want. Shelton has announced that he will release a value-priced album featuring six brand-new songs, entitled Hillbilly Bone, on March 16th, 2010.

“I talk to my fans every day and the first question they ask me is, ‘When are you going to release a new record?’” says Shelton, whose last studio album was 2008’s Startin’ Fires. “I want to give the fans new music and not wait another year to finish up a traditional 12-song album, so I have decided to release six tracks now and get an album out as soon as possible. The fact that people will be able to get the new music for less money is a gift to my fans who’ve been behind me every step of the way.”

The first single is the title track, a comedic, sing-along duet with Shelton’s long-time friend Trace Adkins, which will be available from all digital service providers beginning December 22nd. The video is currently available for purchase wherever digital videos are sold.

Also on December 22nd, iTunes will release Blake Shelton: The Essentials, a digital compilation of Shelton’s best-known and most beloved tracks, including his six-week No. 1 debut single “Austin,” and the multi-week No. 1’s “Some Beach,” “Home,” “The Baby,” and “She Wouldn’t Be Gone.” The Essentials collection will be available exclusively at iTunes for three weeks.

More details about Hillbilly Bone will be made available in the coming weeks. For additional information on Blake Shelton, please visit www.blakeshelton.com.
